Abby Covert

Singer.  Actor.  Teacher.

Abby Covert is a performer, teaching artist, and choreographer born and raised in Roseville, Minnesota. After 4 years of training at the South Carolina School of the Arts, Abby returned home to the Twin Cities in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Since her return, she has maintained a focus on teaching artistry and choreography for children. Park Square Education, Lakeshore Players, SOAR Regional Arts, Mayer Arts, and Morningside Theatre Company are a few of the amazing organizations she has had the pleasure of teaching and choreographing with these past few years.

Abby has also been seen onstage performing in various works at Lakeshore Players (She Loves Me, White Christmas), Ashland Productions (Big Fish, Sweeney Todd, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Black Dirt Theatre (Newsies), and a world premiere play by Jeromy Darling (Ain’t You the One). She also spent time behind-the-scenes as Child Supervisor for Ordway’s Beauty and the Beast in 2022.

When she’s not teaching, rehearsing, hanging with friends, or playing with her nieces and nephews, Abby spends her afternoons as assistant director and choreographer for the Roseville Area Middle School… where her own journey and love of  theatre began nearly 15 years ago! She currently resides in Saint Paul. You can follow her adventures on Instagram @abigaillcovert
